LAUNCHING OF SEGMENTS OF THE SUPERSTRUCTURE
The technology of segment launching of the superstructure has been used by Viadukt since 1994. It was fist applied in the construction of the Bajer Bridge. The Zečeva Draga Viaduct at the Rijeka – Zagreb highway, 920-meter long with a 50-meter span, was constructed with the segment launching technology, but has significantly more complex geometry. Total mass of the structure at the end of launching amounted to 22.000 tons.
